DarkTribe Brewery was set up in 1996 by Dave “Dixie” Dean, a Marine Engineer employed as a College Lecturer.
The original brewhouse was a timber garage at the bottom of the garden, but the condensation from brewing took it’s toll, and in 2002 it had to be demolished to make way for a new large block built garage.
“Quality not Quantity” has been important from the very beginning, The original 2.5 barrel (90 gallon) plant is still used, and there are no plans to change it.
DarkTribe beers have won many awards over the years, including being awarded the title “Champion Beer of Lincolnshire” a total of three times. Galleon has been a previous finalist in the Champion Beer of Britain competition.
This site shows the normal range of beers brewed on a fairly regular basis. We also quite often brew new seasonal or speciality beers.
Unique “House Beers” can be brewed for regular customers, giving the opportunity for the Landlord to come and assist in the brewing himself if he so desires!
Please remember that we are only a very small brewery, and so we do not always keep every beer in stock. Please give as much notice as possible if you require something special.
All beers are available in firkins or kilderkins.
